Jackson Mission trip

June 22nd - June 28th, 2025

A trip to learn about Jesus’ heart for justice and what it looks like to serve within the community.

Micah Mission Trip

Come experience Jackson, Mississippi through the lens of faith, justice, and reconciliation.

At the John and Vera Mae Perkins Foundation, it is not just a mission trip—they invite us to walk alongside them in the very community that helped shape a national movement. Our team will live, serve, and learn in West Jackson, immersed in the same streets and stories where Dr. John Perkins and his family have lived out the Gospel for decades.

Step Into the Rhythm

Our housing places us in the heart of the city, giving us the opportunity to take in the everyday rhythms of Jackson life firsthand. We will be just steps away from historic neighborhoods and surrounded by local restaurants where we can enjoy Southern cooking and community hospitality. Living among the sights, sounds, and textures of urban life is an irreplaceable part of the experience.

Walk With Us

Through the work and witness of Dr. Perkins, and now through the ongoing leadership of his family and the Foundation, we will gain a deeper understanding of the unique challenges and incredible redemptive work happening in Jackson. We will learn about urban ministry from people who have been in it for generations, and see how God is raising up local leaders to pursue justice, healing, and hope.

Join the Work

When we serve at JVMPF (John and Vera Mae Perkins Foundation), we’re stepping into a story already in motion. Our time, energy, and prayers strengthen a legacy of justice and community restoration rooted in the Gospel. This is not about fixing, but about coming alongside—learning, building relationships, and contributing in ways that matter.

We will be integrated into hands-on ministry opportunities that reflect the real needs and dreams of their neighborhood—ensuring that our presence brings lasting encouragement and meaningful impact, both to their community and to our team.

ABOUT KING’S CASTLE

Founded in 1989, King's Castle Ministries purposed to raise up an army of young, Spirit-filled warriors who would invade Latin America with the simple message that 'Jesus saves and is coming soon. Today that vision has expanded to dozens of countries throughout the world. Working hand-in-hand with the local church, thousands of young men and women are giving their lives for the cause of global evangelism in the various aspects of the ministry.

TRIP COST

Currently, the estimated cost is between $1,600-$1,800. The cost will change dependent upon the final team number.

WHAT WILL WE DO?

The nationals will plan the ministry sites for each day to coordinate with their own or cooperating churches, so the children, teens, and adults who respond can be properly followed up.  We will conduct street crusades and school assemblies, utilizing songs with movements, dramas and comical skits.  We will visit four to six sites each day, depending on how well we are received and we will share the gospel with those we visit!
